Often, one of people's excuses for not eating the primal way is because the food is "boring". This is so wrong. Primal food is exciting and satisfying. Case in point: Bacon wrapped bananas. No need to abandon the super chef inside you, primal eating lends itself very well to trendy foods.
I got this idea from Marlena. It sounded kinda weird, so of course I had to try it. I made mine more tapa style because I love tapas...who doesn't. They were awesome!
What you need:
Green Bananas or Plaintains
A few slices of nitrate free bacon
Toothpicks
Turn on the oven broiler to high. Unwrap the banana and cut in half length wise, then cut those in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around the banana piece until it's covered. Cut off whatever bacon is left for the other bananas. I didn't use enough bacon, so the picture looks a bit sparse, so make sure you cover the banana entirely. When you are done wrapping the banana, use a toothpick to secure the bacon so it won't fall off.
Place the bacon wrapped bananas on a cookie sheet or in a glass/metal pan ( I used a pie pan... theres a lot of grease in that bacon) and broil on high for about 5-7 min a side. The cooking time will vary depending on how crispy you want the bacon.
Comments, Thoughts? Do this spark any Primal tapa ideas? Let us know we love to hear from you!

Umm, bacon? Wrap it around a shoe and it would be alright. I like the sweet / salty combo, have to try it.
